Several people have been asking me how they can be helpful. Now, despite help from many people, there are still significant needs that require continued support to facilitate a high level of recovery and rebuilding, to restore normalcy in the lives of so many affected by Melissa. I hope the information posted here will be helpful in part for those who want to contribute to the relief effort.

The images below were sent in an email to its members for general public distribution from the Atlanta Jamaican Association Inc. Please pay close attention to their contents.

IMPORTANT COMMENTS

1.  The ideal drop-off location is CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - items dropped off at the secondary locations will be taken there (Lithonia, GA).

2.  It is advisable to create a one-page list consisting of the following

-      Your name and contact information

-       Items you are dropping off,

-      The value of them.

3.  It is also advisable and recommended that you bring new (unused) items, as used items are less likely to be shipped.

4.  DETAILS NEEDS LIST

BRIEF NEEDS LIST is shown in the image below.

Please check with the drop-off locations to see if there are any requirements for dropping off items. Also, CHECK THE AVAILABLE TIMES FOR DROP OFF.
